Princess Diana Once Said…

Diana, Princess of Wales (born Diana Frances Spencer on 1 July 1961 and died on 31 August 1997. Diana later became known for her involvement with AIDS patients and campaign for the removal of landmines. She also raised awareness and advocated ways to help people affected with cancer and mental illness.

I applaud the memory and legacy of what she stood up for. Being forward about her own mental illness has given many people, including myself a way to see mental illness in a different way. Less stigmatized, more awareness for those with mental illness will help the world understand we’re not the minority, we’re not alone and we shouldn’t be hidden.

I love this quote from Diana and believe that with our random acts of kindness that we should be doing for one another that this world would be much better off. There’s so much hate and paranoia in this world. Be kind without expectation and I do believe good things will happen in return.

Candle in the Wind – Elton John

The original song was about Marilyn Monroe but after Princess Diana passed Elton John redid the song with new lyrics for the English Rose, Princess Diana.
