Kristen Carroll Wiig was born on August 22, 1973. Kristen is an American actress, comedian, writer, producer, and voice actress. Kristen has paved her way as a comedian from being part of the cast of Saturday Night Live to many movies I’ve enjoyed including Bridesmaids, Knocked Up and Ghost Town.
I think it’s important that you don’t settle to do something because someone else wants you to do it, because it’s a family tradition of lawyers or nurses, think for yourself, what is it that you want to do and when you figure that out and do it you’ll be that much happier in life.
But it is also a natural instinct to want people to like what you create whether it’s cooking, art, writing or acting. We all desire to be acknowledged and liked at some point. We should ultimately do things because we love them and for ourselves but it’s hard to switch off that part of the brain that wants some kind of approval or compliments. We also need to learn how to take criticism better so that we learn what wasn’t liked and or what did not work to change it to something that does.
I agree with Kristen here about the women knowing how other women talk and how we really are, I think some men think they know what we’re like and how they’d like to hear us talk…plus there is the addition of how women have been written in the past and or portrayed. I think that as more women write and are open about what is in our head and share it with the world more people get to see yes, this is how they are and how they talk. Perhaps they, meaning men will either have to adjust their way of thinking about how a woman is supposed to be and be more accepting. We are still trying to gain more equality which is something that has not been fixed yet. Neither has racism and I think if we could treat each other as equals, ignoring race, religion, sexual preference, gender than the world would start to come together better rather than tearing each other apart as we have been doing for centuries.
