Daniel Boone Once Said…

Daniel Boone was born on November 2, 1734  and died on September 26, 1820. Daniel was an American pioneer, explorer, woodsman, and frontiersman whose frontier exploits made him one of the first folk heroes of the United States.

It isn’t how you die. It’s what you live for. – Daniel Boone

That is usually how we remember people the most is how they lived moreso than how they died. I’m not saying death of someone isn’t memorable, in fact it almost always is something that sticks with someone whether it be something expected or unexpected. People in general want to be remembered for what they accomplished, how they helped someone, what they produced but that isn’t the only thing that makes up a person. A person, the whole of a person is their faults, their dreams, their aspirations, the accomplishments, the everything, not just the good bits. Which is why in life I believe in doing good, treating people equally and fairly and showing people what they mean to me because as people we like hearing how you feel and what we meant to you. So don’t wait until the last possible moment, tell that person how you feel however you can, take those chances and be good to one another.

All you need for happiness is a good gun, a good horse and a good wife. – Daniel Boone

Daniel Boone seemed to be pretty straight forward with things that he valued and having a good gun is always a plus so you can protect yourself and so you can hunt, having a good horse is a good companion and of course transportation back then and the good spouse is something that is a must in life. We deserve to find that person in our lives that puts the sparkle in our eye, that we can’t wait to see in the morning and nuzzle up with at night.

One day I undertook a tour through the country, and the diversity and the beauties of nature I met with in this charming season, expelled every gloomy and vexatious thought. – Daniel Boone

Even a rugged outdoors man can appreciate the beauty and bounty of nature with all the trees, lakes, rivers, mountains and or hills. It doesn’t just charm the outdoors man but every man and woman if you let it. Nature has a way of touching you and reminding you of it’s splendor and glory, with the smell, sounds and sights all around if you take just a bit of time out to appreciate it the way one should.
