You must gain control over your money or the lack of it will forever control you. – Dave Ramsey

One thing I remember fondly while on the road traveling was listening to the Dave Ramsey show on Sirius XM. A lot of what Dave had to say about getting out of dept was something I had started practicing. I still want to read his book to see if there about other tips for financial freedom.

Every time you borrow money, you’re robbing your future self. – Dave Ramsey

This isn’t exactly something that is easy to do in this day and age. We all want to have a car, a house, things that help sustain us, we also want to go to school and further ourselves which often leads to one of the main, reasons that many have dept, a close second being health care costs which are ridiculously high and often an unavoidable necessity. The thing about health care is that it is something that we all need and we can only do so much to keep ourselves healthy but it’s the society and our government that could help matters. Also if doctors and insurance companies weren’t so greedy and cared more about the people and less about the money perhaps we could put the money we’d save on health care for something more enjoyable. But many things have to change in order for that to happen. The government does need to be revamped, health care and many other things.

Pray like it all depends on God, but work like it depends on you. – Dave Ramsey

One of the things that I found most impressive is Dave’s perseverance when it came to advising people on how they should be in ones life and he has great advice, one should work hard and when you do as if it depends on you one can accomplish more than you can imagine and I haven’t always thought of praying because it’s more of a religious thing but I have found myself, especially this year doing quite a lot of it. I think that if you believe in prayer than pray but if you don’t you can hope and that’s something that most of us can get behind.
