William Maher was born on January 20, 1956. Bill is a comedian, political commentator, and television host. Best known for the late night shows Politically Incorrect & Real Time with Bill Maher. Politically Incorrect was on the air from 1993–2002 on Comedy Central and moving to ABC. Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO started in 2003 and is still running today.
Atheism is most definitely not a religion it is as Bill said quite the opposite but there are many ignorant people that think that it is. Atheism is the disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods and cannot possibly be considered a ‘religion’. You can state that you are an atheist but there are no ‘churches’ for the disbelief. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is a Pastafarianism and nothing to do with being an atheist. There have been times as a spiritual person when I have questioned my faith and I think that a lot of people question their faith in their lifetime. If we’re truly honest with ourselves that is and I understand and respect many people who believe and who have no belief.
Because I believe that Bill Maher isn’t a supporter of capital punishment and I am I’d like to change what this statement says to correct it for my liking. I believe capital punishment works great. Every killer you execute never kills again. See what I did there? It’s a context thing, see the killer is doing the killing illegally or against the will of the other. When you execute you are carrying out the sentencing of the death penalty to which is death. A judge and sometimes jury has tried you (no not in all cases) and judge sentences you to the punishment for murder. Perhaps it is because I’ve had my babies murdered and it goes back to the eye for an eye… I think you treat someone badly, you should expect to be treated badly. I tend to uphold the law and not take it into my own hands, at times regretfully. Had it been up to me death would’ve been the exclamation point to the sentencing I would’ve given. But I’m protective and I love Dexter and I love Luna.
This is something that is often overlooked is the passive sin of not doing something, not saying something, looking away, letting them get off lightly, barely a slap on the wrist and yes I do feel that is dreadful and a sin. Sure the laws that are in place need to be looked into and made harsher for the atrocities of rape, pedophilia, domestic violence, animal abuse…. these things turn into uglier, nastier vices such as murder and what’s sad is when you kill an animal it’s more-so considered ‘abuse’ but a person it is murder. It’s a felony now in the United States but it’s skewed badly. Murder is murder.
