Bill Murray Once Said…

William James Murray was born on September 21, 1950. Bill is an American actor, comedian, and writer who has been in a multitude of movies and one of my favorite movies, Groundhog Day which I often watch on Groundhog Day.

So, if we lie to the government, it’s a felony. But if they lie to us it’s politics. – Bill Murray

Oh how true it is and if only it were true that they’d be felons if they lied to us… then again there wouldn’t be much of politics without the lying. I mean we can hope but it won’t get us very far. All politicians lie though, it’s a known fact. No matter what party they belong to and it only seems to be getting worse every single year and term. And who came up with term limits and made it so congress doesn’t have a limit. I feel that they absolutely should have a limit and we shouldn’t pay for whatever for them for the rest of their lives and they shouldn’t be able to give themselves a raise. That’s not the way it is with normal people. We can’t just decide to give ourselves a raise so why should they?

The more relaxed you are, the better you are at everything: the better you are with your loved ones, the better you are with your enemies, the better you are with your job, the better you are with yourself. – Bill Murray

Relaxation does a lot for you and in your life. It keeps you healthier and gives you a better disposition, it helps you handle situations with friends or enemies, with your job and pretty much whatever life decides to throw at you can be handled better if you’re not a big old ball of stress. I’ve been trying for quite some time to work on my stress or anxiety and I think in some ways I’ve made some pretty good headway and in other ways I feel I have a ways to go. I suppose it depends on what I’m thinking of or going through. I know we all have good days and bad days. I have been trying my best to change my outlook on life and try to not let things bother me as much. Also been trying to give myself a break and not be so hard on myself. That’s one of the more difficult things I’ve had to teach myself is to put less pressure on myself.

The best way to teach your kids about taxes is by eating 30# of their ice cream. – Bill Murray

That isn’t necessarily something that I learned about more-so except for in math or by getting my first job. That’s when I started learning how to save money and putting priority on things. I think that’s a big part of life is figuring out what you can do with what you have and the whole balancing act of it. It’s not just with money but it is how to go about learning something and being able to do something and how to make time to do the things that we want to do in our life. All kinds of possibilities and only if we had an idea of how long we have so we could plan things better. I think that’s part of why I loved Groundhog Day so much is because he kept repeating one day over and over and it was interesting to see the things he decided to do with the time he had. What would you do? I would surely love to learn how to do ice sculptures, piano, and perhaps learn more French.
